While battling the Underworld and other villains, Miles tackles themes of family, identity, and community while trying to preserve the legacy of his predecessor Peter Parker. Miles not only has the same powers as Peter Parker, such as superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to stick to walls, but he also has his own unique powers, including electric poison attacks and camouflage. The story explores Miles’ journey as he recovers as Spider-Man, faces personal challenges, and discovers his own unique abilities. Balancing his responsibilities as a student, a friend, and a superhero, Miles faces new challenges, including a new threat called “The Underground,” led by Tinkerer, a high-tech masked villain.
Miles Morales now lives with his mother, Rio Morales, and best friend, Ganke Lee, and is still learning the tricks of being a superhero.
